5-Minute Me Space

Why Me Space?

It is easy to focus on others when we think about compassion, and indeed some people may not be familiar with self-care/compassion at all. Yet if you are caring for others without caring for yourself, you are in danger of burning out

“Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.”

Pema Chödrön (born 1936)
Buddist Nun

“Compassion is the keen awareness of the interdependence of all things.”

Thomas Merton (1915-1968)
Theologian, Author

What’s involved?

Me Space gives you 5 minutes to stop, connect with yourself and possibly a partner, and ask what caring for yourself might mean to you. How might you be wise, kind and compassionate towards yourself in the future?
